 13 days late. *is sheepish*

Here's my entry to this year's [info]the_eros_affair: ( Cheque: Draco to Harry: I promise to let you go. (H/D, rated G) )

This is not exactly what I had in mind when I first signed up. I planned to do a comic (the sequeal to Once Burned, to be exact), but regrettably time did not permit me to do anything exotic. Work drains me through the week, and I've been busy exploring Tokyo during the weekends. Too many fun things are happening around the town. No wonder everybody wants to live here, despite the sky-rocketed rent and the horrible traffic.

As for [info]hd_holidays art, I suppose I could hide in Starbucks during my lunch hour everyday and work on it. Will see how much I can accomplish.

3:36pm: Fic rec, and fanart for the fic
 I still haven't posted my [info]reversathon art. It will be done soon, but let me rec you my gift fic first - I've been wanting to rec it for ages. It hits all my kinks (I guess many of you know what my kinks are), and was written by one of the talented authors I most admired - no, let me confess; I signed up for [info]reversathon because she signed up, and I had prayed to god that I could get my request in her hands. Thanks to the wonderful mods of the comm, my dream has come true.

Okay, so here's the rec:

Warning: Very dark themes and graphic (fully consensual) sex

Summary: Harry clings to what he can.

Don't want to spoil, so I'm just going to say that this story deeply moved me.

And because I love the fic so much and that I start my new job two days later and I'm nervous like hell, I procrastinated did two sketchy sketches for the fic. I wanted to do something more elaborated, but I'm not in the right mindset now. Anyway, hope you enjoy. ( G-rated art under cut... )

 [info]hd_holidays has just posted the big reveal. I'd like to give a big round of applause to [info]jamie2109 and [info]nqdonne for organizing the fantastic fest. I'm looking forward to participating in the next round (if it's okay, that is).

My offering this year is for [info]klarsfeld, titled Once Burned, which probably has made me the most unpopular gift-exchange participant in fandom.

My sincere apology to those who were appalled by the story and my cruelty to the boys. It's not what normal people expect from an exchange gift, is it? I wrote a little about this comic in an entry a while ago . It used to be private-locked, but not anymore.

Before you decide to de-friend or filter me out, let me assure you that I'm now working on a 3-page smut interlude, and have planned a happy-ever-after type of sequel to the comic. Hope that makes a difference.

ETA: *grins* I didn't mean to sound so melancholic. I was just trying to be funny in my self-depreciating way. :-) Should have added more smilies and *grins* to the sentences.

4:27pm: Fanart for <lj user
 This one is inspired by [info]frayach's The Good Guys, a brilliantly written H/D fic that I know I'll always remember. The scene is taken from the table sex in part three, which is one of the hottest sex scenes that have ever existed in the ship. Knowing that I can't draw sex for life, I don't think the art could do justice. So if you haven't already read the fic, please may I direct you to it?

I wasn't planning to work on this picture today. What distracted me from doing mundane chores and got me in a serious h/d shipping mood was a [info]hd_holidays fic - The Business of Saving Souls. This is one of those powerful writings that just pull you in, and hit you with so much emotion that the effect lingers even when you finish reading. Be very afraid of the +20000 words, though, because once you've started, you will not be able to break away from it.

I have a thing for dark fic, and I know not everybody likes it, but this is an absolutely fantastic read. I'm not rec-cing it because it's a gift to me. I'm rec-cing because I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE, LOVE it. I love it so much it doesn't feel like I'm my usual self. The word choice, the progression of their relationship, the sex, everything is so well crafted out and wonderfully written. Go read, I beg you.

I have to thank the mods of [info]hd_holidays for assigning such a brilliant writer as my gifter. I'm so glad that I signed up for the fest.

It's almost 3am now. I really should go to bed, but maybe it doesn't hurt to read the last two paragraphs one last time...
